Actualització de l'eina per esborrar el Sasser. Microsoft ha actualitzat l'eina per a esborrar les diferents versions de Sasser (A-F) de les màquines infectades.

Document on s'explica el funcionament d'AntiSniff per detectar els sniffers Packet Sniffer Detection with AntiSniff (PDF) Packet sniffing is a technique of monitoring every packet that crosses the network. A packet sniffer is a piece of software or hardware that monitors all network traffic. The security threat presented by sniffers is their ability to capture all incoming and outgoing traffic, including clear-text passwords and usernames or other sensitive material. While packet sniffers can be fully passive, some aren’t, therefore they can be detected. This paper discusses the different methods that AntiSniff uses to detect these sniffing programs.

Com un PDA amb capacitat WiFi pot convertir-se en una eina de denegació de servei... [AusCERT] Denial of Service Vulnerability in IEEE 802.11 Wireless Devices The Queensland University of Technology has today announced yet another flaw in 802.11 products. AusCERT has the official statement, noting: 'An attacker using a low-powered, portable device such as an electronic PDA and a commonly available wireless networking card may cause significant disruption to all WLAN traffic within range, in a manner that makes identification and localisation of the attacker difficult.' Nice to know that a simple PDA could bring a WiFi network to its knees."
